The weather is finally getting warmer, the snow is melting and folks are getting around. We here at HSC spent the winter resting after a marathon 12-16 months of auctions, estates and long weeks with no weekends. We are still located in the basement of Mini Music and Tack, 73 Main street in the upper section of downtown. We left Amy off the square at 7 Court street, she was warmer there.
We spent the winter painting, cleaning and getting a heat pump installed (thanks Cheryl!!). The ceilings seem taller and the room seems fancier. We are still in the selling stuff business, your stuff that is. We like all sorts of things, but have found that not everything sells. So please give us an idea in advance of what you want to get rid of, we can help you find a good price point and hopefully a new owner.
We add the FFL to our laundry list of licenses recently and now pawn guns. As the only licensed gun pawn location south of Presque Isle and north of Lincoln we are pleased to offer loans on good guns. Like any pawn there is an interest charge upon return. We are interested in talking to folks about their monetary needs and how we can help.
The shop is staffed every Saturday from 8ish to 4ish, during the week it is best to call or message on FB. Houlton Stamp and Coin is no more, we are strictly auction folks and although we do have many consignments for sale to include some coins and more, we have moved in a different direction overall. This has made us all a bit happier and less flighty.
Come visit us and the other shops downtown and remember not everyone likes us, but honestly that OK, we like us and chances are we like you too.
